Astrology is the study of the interaction between celestial bodies and how they reflect our lives here on Earth. Everything in the universe is made of small vibrating strands of energy - we are vibrational beings. Everything in the universe is connected, therefore, whatever is experienced in the macrocosm (celestial bodies) is automatically reflected in the microcosm (humans). The solar system is a vibrational playground within the Universe itself, emitting frequencies at differing pitches. Being an extension of universal energy ourselves, we are innately connected to these vibrations, experiencing each for its uniqueness. These vibrations play into our lives, aligning with different parts of who we are emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.

It is a map to discovering your soul’s purpose, evolution and lessons in this lifetime based on past life experiences. It helps us to remember our original desire to incarnate. Western Astrology dates back to the Sumerians around 4000 BCE but came to the forefront by the Babylonians around 1650 BCE. Astrology was recognised by India, China and the Mayans as far back as 25000 BCE, with celestial cycles being carved into stone. Egypt, Greece and eventually Rome began taking Astrology very seriously. Egypt created the first effective time-keeping calendar. The most beautiful and interesting thing about all this - is that many civilisations around the world, who had no way of contacting each other, all studied the celestial bodies to gain a deeper understanding of themselves.
Astrology flourished during the middle ages as a form of ‘fortune telling’. In the 16th Century, an astronomical discovery was made that the Sun was the centre of our solar system not the Earth. However, we use Astrology from the Earth’s perspective. So, the fact that we spin around the Sun rather than vice versa makes no difference to our study. In the 19th Century, psychology and theosophical study brought Astrology back into the picture. Carl Jung used it as a means of distinguishing psychological archetypes.
